The training for a Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence – Aeroplane) is aimed at achieving the highest standard of flying skills, airmanship and knowledge in order to prepare student pilots for a career as a Commercial Pilot. You will be specifically instructed in procedures relating to conducting commercial operations with a strong focus on navigation with remote areas inland. You will practice command decisions under pressure and in a range of circumstances in order to simulate real life scenarios and increase situational awareness.

Upon completion of the Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating) course, students will have gained the minimum experience which is required as a baseline for the aviation industry. This competency will allow students to fly as an IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) pilot in a multi-engine aircraft, and fly in reduced minima as set out in the approach and departure procedures.
